Saturday 16th May from 10am to 3pm
RSPCA Cornwall is a local, self-funded charity based in St Columb who rehabilitates and re-homes rescue cats and dogs. This year they are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first rescue animals they welcomed to the site.
Staff from RSPCA Cornwall will be at Dog World for the day, giving you the chance to chat to them directly about the work they do.
Many people don’t realise that although RSPCA Cornwall sits under the umbrella of the National RSPCA, it is actually an independent charity, not funded by the National society.
The Cornwall Branch operates separately and has developed their own approaches and priorities in response to the changing needs of the rescue animals in their care and that of the local community.
Over the past 18 months, there have been significant changes to how they operate — and they’re keen to share that with the Cornish community.
On the day, you can speak to them about:
• Rehoming and fostering dogs
• Rehoming and fostering cats
• Their recent changes and direction
• Youth and community groups (including educating responsible pet care)
• Any general questions you may have
If you’ve ever wanted to understand more about RSPCA Cornwall — or had questions — this is a good opportunity to speak to a member of the RSPCA Cornwall team.
